At Lino e.V. we all work voluntarily for animal welfare. It is therefore all the more important that we can rely on our voluntary support.

Voluntary work is tough! It means that in your spare time you do something for a good cause voluntarily and free of charge, and that you consciously take the time and allocate it instead of hanging in front of Netflix, for example. So you can do something good with your time.

But we would describe it too easy if we said your will is enough, because volunteer work also costs nerves! Be it by interested parties who have to be disappointed because they don’t get the dog, or a high urgency because the dogs are arriving tomorrow and there was a last second change, or we are starting a social media campaign and there is a lot of feedback or there are questions from followers that should also be answered.

So we ask you in advance to go listen to your inner voice and see whether the voluntary work for the next year fits into your everyday life? Whether it gives you the fulfilment so that you are ready to endure one or the other temporal and nervous strain?!

Of course, your living conditions can also change while you are active in the association – let’s be realistic. Especially with regard to the pandemic, our lives will soon change again, be it with normality slowly emerging or simply the need to go out again and do something for yourself. We can understand that very well!

Nevertheless, it also costs us a lot of effort and time if we invest in your on-boarding and when you are trained, but then you don’t find the time. Therefore we depend on people who have the time to volunteer, responsibly and independently for our dogs.

We have to be able to rely on you. If you are on vacation, sick or move, you independently ensure that your tasks are taken over by someone else on the team. There is simply no classic vacation or sick substitution in voluntary work. ?
